Functional Characteristics

The “C” model comprises the following modules;
- Base Unit (BU) with Wireless Interface Module
- Power Supply Unit (PSU)
- Two or three enhanced Master Control Unit (EMCU)
- Wireless Drivers Unit (DU)
In an armoured front line fighting platform with four crew members, three would be provided with an enhanced EMCU so that they can configure both the intercom and installed radios to suit operational demands, and the Driver would have a wireless hands free capability so that he could operate the platform safely.
This model is suited to Tanks where the turret crew members require full access to the communications. It also provides Commander Radio Transmit Priority which interrupts other crew members' transmissions should the commander key up the radio. The wireless connectivity to the Driver means that connectivity through the Rotary Based Joint is not required. This model is used in restricted space platforms where the majority of crew members require access to configuration of system commensurate with their role
